So, my little (not so little anymore) boy loves cooking. Last week he said that he’d try and bake a cake made up by him. So he went through my cookbooks and after a while ‘studying’ recipes, he came up with one of his own.
This week he wanted to try it and he did it by himself. I must say, I am super proud as the end result is yummy.
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Beat together 175g caster sugar and 175g butter softened, until creamy. Then add 2 eggs and mix for about 1 minute. Then add 225g Self-raising flour, 2 tsp milk, ¼cup chocolate chips and 100g chopped almonds. Mix well.
Pour the mixture in cake tin. Bake for 40 minutes. Cool and cover with melted chocolate.
